Left for Honfleur under the guidance of Nancy EARLY and Dominique.

Arrival at the town hall and a walk to the town monument .

A short ceremony before the Mayor, President L.GUADEBOIS, H.MARCHAND vice-president, C.GUADEBOIS treasurer ( all administrators of the Honfleur 1939-1945).

The local musicians played  the French and British national anthems and the prayers.

St Léonard's cemetery, short ceremony at the local monument as well as wreath laying.

We then moved to another part of the cemetery where we found the graves of eight British servicemen who had paid the great sacrifice.

Homage was paid to them and poppy crosses layed before each cross.

J.EARLY recited the exhortation and the French standard bearer joined our standars at all the ceremonies.

We then proceeded to the restaurant "La Briquerie" where speeches from the Mayor and Mr L.GUADEBOIS were replied to by our president and Chairman.

Our full members were made members of honour of the Honfleur 1939-1945 association and received their certificate.

Followed by a superb lunch and the traditional "calvados".

New contacts and friends ships were made, new bridges built for the future.
